ndian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Pakistan's second largest city, Lahore for a brief meeting with his counterpart Nawaz Sharif, who welcomed him at the airport with a hug. The two leaders then took a helicopter ride to the residence of Sharif outside the city.
The surprise visit comes as Modi heads back to the Indian capital from Kabul. It also comes about two weeks after the two countries agreed -- during a regional meeting in Islamabad -- to resume their official dialogue. that process had been suspended after the 2008 terror attacks in the Indian commercial center of Mumbai.
